dot.jo is developing the new Sekrab e-Museum today, to ensure a better tomorrow for everyone. Focused on encouraging waste awareness among children, this online partnership between the Children's Museum Jordan and the Arab American National Museum looks to get kids aged 12-14 involved in changing our attitude towards the ever-increasing levels of waste produced every day around the world. dot.jo has been chosen to build the interactive, online "Watch Your Waste" musuem to match the standard set by the projects two key partners. Beginning with a creative design, dot.jo will incorporate a number of features to meet and surpass the goals and expectations of the team behind the Sekrab e-Museum. The site will be mirrored in both English and Arabic, and content in both languages can be updated as needed via the complete content management system. An online library and selection of downloadables gives the kids and adults plenty of resources to learn from. Stay up to date through the events calendar or by signing up to the mailing list and e-newsletter. Followers of the Sekrab e-Museum can also join the conversation through the discussion forum. Fun and educational games will help everyone learn more about how to make personal changes to help improve the global problem of waste management.
The “Watch Your Waste (WYW) e-Museum” project encourages children aged 12 – 14 years to work together to examine their own consumption practices, research practices of the past and create new solutions for today’s environmental problems.
