The Central Bank of Sudan site; http://www.cbos.gov.sd/ developed by dot.jo, on the international web won the first award for the Best Governmental Services Website for the year 2011 in a contest organized by Sudan Internet Society (SIS) during the second Internet Week between December 18 and 22 in the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC). The Central Bank’s website competed with the websites of ministries and institutions of computer and services aspects.

The contest organized every year included four awards for the Best Public Website for Individuals, the Best Services Website (governmental entities), the Best Development Website (civil society organizations and associations), the Best Commercial Project Website (private sector) and the Best Educational Website (public and private universities, schools, etc).

The Central Bank’s website registered the highest scores amidst other winning websites in all categories, which means that this website is the best in the Sudanese domain (.sd) on the international web.
